As a Non-medical prescriber you will maintain integrated working practices and care pathways for the client group that meet the complex and changing needs of people with co-existing issues.
Requirements:
- Degree in BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing, or equivalent
- Current valid (NMC, GPHC, HCPC) registration
- BSc or equivalent qualification
- Non-medical prescribing qualification
- Prison clearance (Civil Justice & Immigration Services)
Duties:
- As a Non-medical prescriber you will maintain integrated working practices and care pathways for the client group that meet the complex and changing needs of people with co-existing issues.
- You will work as a lead member of a multidisciplinary team
- Undertaking Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients
- Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
- To provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication, within their sphere of competence.
- To carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after.
- To provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history.
- To carry out a clinical review with the patient and update care plans accordingly You will; Provide effective management, leadership and practice within the site, in order to deliver the highest standard of care
- Promote an agenda of recovery from the dependence on drugs and/or alcohol within the client group and which supports the goals of reducing re-offending, increasing re-integration into meaningful and sustained occupation and improving social and family relationships
