Description:

You will be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients’ care.



Requirements:
  • Prison clearance (Civil Justice & Immigration Services) and experience is Desired
  • Experience working in a Health Care assistant role
  • Care Certificate

Duties:
  • You will be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients’ care.
  • You will support and assist patients with the activities of daily living, work with the Pharmacy Team to help them fulfil their daily tasks and you will be encouraged to take the lead on well-being promotion clinics.
  • You will support the registered nurse and operating department practitioner in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care and to be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
  • Carry out assigned unsupervised nursing care, which will involve the direct and indirect care of patients Chlamydia screening/BP/Dressings/ECG’s
  • Assist with Nurse led clinics
  • Lead on Wellman/Health Promotion Clinics
  • BBV screening
  • Phlebotomy
  • Assessment, treatment, and evaluation of patients care. With supervision and support from trained nursing staff.
  • Minor offender queries
  • Emergency response with a registered member of staff and care when first on scene. Attending ILS training.
  • Pre-release services – liaising with outside services to be able to make sure every persons discharge is safe.
  • Receptions- undertake secondary screening assessment for men in our care, using recognised tools and make appropriate referrals
  • Apply appropriate knowledge and understanding of patient’s individual needs, in accordance with care plans
